Environmental & Health Concerns

As Nosara, and surrounding areas, grows in its community developments so do the environmental and health concerns. Currently, due to lack of building regulations and awareness of the building and construction processes, the community is suffering great environmental issues, such as illegal dumping. There are many steps we are taking as an organization and community to help resolve these issues, and we ask for your support by filing formal complaints to the appropriate authorities so that we can fast-track these efforts.

The following are steps and tutorial “how-to” videos on how you can take immediate action towards any environmental issues you witness within the community, by filing a formal complaint.

Want To File a Formal Complaint?

  • There are three (3) different institutions that you will file formal complaints with:

  1. The Ministry of Environment

  2. The Ministry of Health

  3. The Municipality of Nicoya

  • You can choose to file the formal complaint anonymously or by using your full name.

  • You do not have to be a registered citizen or resident to file a formal complaint. Anyone can file.

  • It is important when filing a complaint that you have valuable and necessary evidence for a strong filing. It is highly important to identify the name of the person who is committing the illegal act and a well-detailed address. If you are needing further assistance in identifying these two (2) items, please email us.
